I am pleased to announce that building tenders have now been advertised for a new primary school in Wellard Village while releasing the first design images of how the new school will look.

The new state-of-the-art Wellard Village Primary School will have a capacity of 650 students and include:

• Administration block
• Library
• Staffroom
• Kindergarten/Pre-primary block
• Two double story and one single story general learning blocks including art/science and inclusive education rooms
• Covered assembly area with music and canteen
• Oval and Hard courts
• Staff and parent parking

Located on Lambeth Circle and Brentford Parade in Wellard, the new school will help ease student numbers at nearby Leda Primary School and Wellard Primary School

Construction will start later this year and is due to be completed in time for the start of the 2023 school year.

The school is being designed to retain as much native vegetation as possible including mature gum trees to provide shade.
